dc.descriptionSupervisor of school is a functional official assigned to conduct academic and managerial supervision on the educational unit in accordance with the task program that has been prepared. In addition to supervisory tasks, school supervisors also play a role in evaluating the implementation of academic supervision and managerial oversight programs and conducting professional teacher training and training based on the results of evaluation of supervisory implementation or we call coaching. The existence of school supervisors has a significant role or influence on the quality of education through leadership, inspecting, advising, monitoring, coordinating, and reporting The present study is a quantitative research with cross-sectional approach because data collection is only enough once that is using research instrument in the form of questionnaire. The research population is all teachers of SMP Negeri 21 Medan. Data collection using questionnaire and data analysis using multiple linear regression The results of the study shown that leadership, inspecting, advising, monitoring, coordinating and reporting have a significant influence on the quality of education. This is indicated by the value of sig-p X1 = 0.000, X2 = 0.000, X3 = 0.001, x4 = 0,024, X5 = 0.001 and X6 = 0.001, less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the 6 variables give effect significant to the quality of education. The magnitude of the effect of independent variables on the quality of education is 62.6%. The school superintendent is advised to improve leadership, inspecting advising, monitoring, coordinating and reporting so that the quality of education can be improved It can be concluded of the study that is supervisors of school play an important role in improving the quality of school education through its role as leadership, inspecting, advising, monitoring, coordinating and reporting.en_US
dc.description.abstractPengawas sekolah merupakan pejabat fungsional yang bertugas melakukan pengawasan akademik dan manajerial pada satuan pendidikan sesuai dengan program tugas yang telah disusun. Selain tugas pengawasan, pengawas sekolah juga berperan dalam mengevaluasi pelaksanaan program pengawasan akademik dan pengawasan manajerial serta melaksanakan pembimbingan dan pelatihan professional guru berdasarkan hasil evaluasi pelaksanaan pengawasan atau kita sebut pembinaan, Keberadaan pengawas sekolah memiliki peran atau pengaruh signifikan terhadap mutu pendidikan melalui leadership, inspecting, advising, monitoring, coordinating,dan reporting. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross- sectional karena pengambilan data hanya cukup sekali yakni menggunakan instrument penelitian berupa kuesioner. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru SMP Negeri 21 Medan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa leadership, inspecting, advising, monitoring, coordinating dan reporting memberi pengaruh signifikan terhadap mutu pendidikan. Hal ini diindikasikan oleh nilai sig-p X1 = 0.000, X2 = 0.000, X3= 0.001, x4 = 0..024, X5 = 0.001 dan X6 = 0.001, lebih kecil dari 0.05 ,sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ke-6 variabel memberi pengaruh signifikan terhadap mutu pendidikan. Besarnya variabel bebas terhadap mutu pendidikan adalah 62.6%. Kepada pengawas sekolah disarankan untuk meningkatkan leadership, inspecting advising, monitoring, coordinating dan reporting agar mutu pendidikan dapat lebih ditingkatkan. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah pengawas sekolah memegang peranan penting dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan sekolah melalui perannya sebagai leadership, inspecting, advising, monitoring, coordinating dan reporting.en_US
