Finally, the result of this study shows there were two types of translation procedure used by the students in translating descriptive text, namely Transposition and modulation. There were four types of transposition procedure, namely transposition type 1, transposition type 2, transposition type 3, transposition type 4. Based on the result of this study, the writer found only two types of transposition type 1, one type of transposition type 2, and one type of free modulation that should be based on Rochaya Machali’s translation procedure theory. The students were difficult in translating the text and some just showing what are in their mind. The writer suggested that the teacher keep their attention in teaching the students about translation and improve students vocabulary so that they can use the good English to Indonesia as well in translating text by using translation procedures.en_US
