dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the video-based learning method on social studies learning outcomes for class VIII-B students of the Free Methodist 1 Private Junior High School Medan in the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is class action research which is divided into 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of 4 attitudes, namely: 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) observation, 4) reflection. In this study, researchers and social studies subject teachers collaborated in the teaching process in class VIII-B with a quantitative approach. the subject in the study involved 1 class as the research subject, namely class VIII-B as many as 40 students of Free Methodist 1 Private Junior High School 1 Medan with the object of Video Based Learning Method. Data collection techniques used are observation and tests. The data analysis technique used is the result of observation, student learning outcomes, and simple linear regression effectiveness test.
The results of this study indicate that the social studies learning outcomes of class VIII-B students of Private Junior High School 1 Free Methodist Medan increased after being given the action of the Video Based Learning method. The average number of learning in the first cycle has increased to 67.56% in the second cycle has increased by 89.1%. Completeness of student learning outcomes as a whole has increased. Where the completeness of student learning outcomes in Cycle I was 67.56%, and in Cycle II it increased by 89.1%. In the test of the effectiveness of simple linear regression of 3.70666433030. Increased score of learning outcomes by 21.54%. | en_US |
