dc.description.abstract | Unison Regional Head Election Regent and Vice Regent ago held directly and is one manifestation of the passage of the democratic process in South Nias Especially in District Gomo. The purpose of this thesis was to determine and getting the illustration of how the political participation of the community in local elections together of Regent and Vice Regent South Nias In the period 2015-2020 in Gomo district of South Nias Regency.
This study uses qualitative descriptive study using interview and observation techniques. This study uses a "key informants and informant extra" obtained by snowball sampling.
The result showed that the people's political participation is quite high and enthusiastic to join the process and stages of simultaneous elections, in which voters determine their voting rights based on the track record and visi- mission candidate, socialization of the organizers.
It can be concluded from the findings that the political participation of the people Gomo in the elections simultaneously influenced by political and cultural factors where the track record and vision - mission candidate, the role of organizers in their duties in the absence of fraud and manipulation, influence voters in giving the right to vote, but it is not influenced by socio-economic factors and primodial such as ethnicity, religion, race and class, where these factors have existed before the presidential election process and the stages of progress. | en_US |
