dc.description.abstract | Tiktok has become a social media platform that has grown rapidly since the beginning of the
pandemic in 2000, as well as information dissemination media, including mental health. Many of
the users claim that this platform has helped them through the pandemic, but not a few TikTok users
have finally shared personal stories related to their mental condition by expressing their emotional
state. Many of Tiktok users also tend to have a lot of interests The purpose of this study is to find
out by self-report (self-report) of tiktok users, on the capacity of self-control and aspects of
intelligence in managing emotions. The method used in the distribution of the measuring instrument
(scale), is to use a promotional video that is purposive sampling and pays attention to the FIP TikTok
algorithm, which elaborate 488 respondent. The results found revealed several mappings such as
years of joining or having a tiktok account, area of origin, education, time of use, as well as
categorization of self-control variables and emotional intelligence. So these results support several
findings related to the use of tiktok, both in psychoeducation and in building awareness. | en_US |
