dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share Cooperative Learning
Model with a Scientific Approach on the Learning Outcomes of Students at SMP Negeri
7 Medan. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with
nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research is all students of
class VII SMP Negeri 7 Medan. The sampling technique used in this research is
purposive sampling. The sample of this study consisted of two groups, namely the
experimental class and the control class. Class VII-4 as experimental class and VII-1 as
control class. The research instrument used was student activity sheets and multiple
choice questions to determine student learning outcomes. Based on student learning
outcomes, the average posttest score for the experimental class was 81,25 with a
variance of 10,25 and the posttest average for the control class was 70,94 with a
standard deviation of 9,35. The results obtained through a one-tail t-tes for posttest
data in the experimental class and control class for α = 0,05 obtained tcount = 3,05 and
ttable = 1,70, in this case Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the
study, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the cooperative learning
model of think pair share type with a scientific approach on student learning outcomes
on heat and transfer material for class VII SMP Negeri 7 Medan. | en_US |
