    THE EFFECT OF BLENDED LEARNING (DARING AND FACE TO FACE) METHOD INTO STUDENTS SPEAKING SKILL AT NINE GRADE STUDENT’S IN SMP NEGERI 2 PERCUT SEI TUAN.

    Abstract
    This thesis focus on finding out the effect of blended learning on students’ speaking skill at SMP Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan. This study was conducted in experimental quantitative design. The population of this study was nine grade of studenrs in SMP N 2 Percut Sei Tuan . The writer want to find different result test of asking and giving opinion in experimental class by apply blended learning method with control class without blended learning. method There were fourty students of the nine grade junior high school students as the sample of research. This study was conducted with two purposive sampling groups namely Experimental Group and Control Group. The experimental group was taught by using Blended Learning, while control group was taught without Blended Learning. The instrument of collecting the data was a speaking test. The writer took 20 sthe tudents as experimental group. The data were taken by giving test . The test was used the pre-test and post-test for the both classes. The mean score of pre-test in Blended Learning is 34 and pre-test in Face to Face is 32. The mean score post-test in Blended Learning is 76 and post-test in Face to Face learning is 51. The data were analyzed by using t-test. The calculation shown that t-observed (3.45) was higher than t-table (1.68) at the level of significance (α) 0.05 with the degree of freedom (df) 38. It means that there was a significant effect of Blended Learning method on students speaking skill. So, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted.
