dc.description.abstractThis thesis is study about An Analysis of Grammatical Equivalence Used in The Translation of Batu Gantung Myth Into Indonesia at The Fourth Semester Students of Universitas HKBP Nommensen. Equivalence of grammatical has five main categories: they are person, number, gender, tense/aspect, and voice. English and Indonesia have different grammatical categories. The objective of the study is achieve the types of grammatical categories and dominant of grammatical equivalence made by students in translating Batu Gantung. This research was designed as a descriptive qualitative method, the data is collected by giving test of 13 respondents. The participant of this study English Department of fourth semester students of Universitas HKBP Nommensen. They are types 50 (14,8 %) for number, 33 (9,8%) for gender, 153 ( 45,5% ) for person, 76 (22,6%) for tense/aspect ,and the last 24 (7,1%) for voice. Person was the most dominant used in text of Batu Gantung the total person was 153 or 45,5%.en_US
