dc.description.abstractThis research aimed to describe the form of errors in using affixation in writing analytical exposition text.The scope of discussions in this research focused on inflectional affixation and the following data was taken from analytical exposition text. The research deals with the eleventh grade students‟ inflectional affixation errors in writing analytical exposition texts. This research uses a qualitative research design in which the data are taken from the sentences of texts. The data are collected 30 items of error and described by using surface strategy taxonomy proposed by Dulay et al.. The analysis found that there are three types of inflectional errors occured; they are omission 5 cases or 16.66%, addition 17 cases or 56.67%, and misformation 8 cases or 26.67%. So, the most dominant type of inflectional affixation errors made by the eleventh grade students in writing analytical exposition text is addition 56.67%. It is hoped that the result of this research is useful for everyone who wants to study about affixation errors.en_US
