| dc.description.abstract | The aims of this study is to find out the types of language style as part of sociolinguistics. Here the focus of the study is language style. It investigated how the types language style were used in delivering the message of the movie to attract the watchers. This study used qualitative descriptive as approach and research design is an observation analysis. The source data were fast and furious 9 movie’s script by Justin Lin taken from internet. This study based on Martin Joos Theory in all updated theories. The writer found that there were four types of language style used in Fast and furious 9 Movie by Justin Lin. From totally 50 sentences, formal style is 1, consultative is 3, Casual is 42 and intimate is 4. It shows that the movie mostly used the casual style. (1) For the student of the English Department, this study can increase knowledge about language style,especially for anyone who likes to watch movies. Understanding language style is very important because there are many language style contained in the film.(2) For the lecturer who act as educators, this study will be useful to enrich their knowledge and added their knowledge about language style and lecturer can teach language style with the newest references.(3) For other researcer, this study is expected or even able to provide new references when conducting research in different perspective. | en_US |
