dc.description.abstractThis research focuses on analysing Code switching and code mixing used by kimmy jayanti in “iLook” program on NET TV, using theory of code switching and code mixing proposed by Romaine and Hoffman. This research talk about fashion with monologue script with purpose to give information about the fashion style. The objective of this research are to find out what types of code switching and code mixing and the dominant types of code switching and code mixing used by Kimmy Jayanti in “iLook” program on NET TV. This reserach uses descriptive qualitative. The data are collected from the utterances of Kimmy Jayanti are taken from seven videos in “iLook” program on NET TV. The result of this research shows that there are three types of code switching and code mixing, namely: intra-sentential code swithing (64.9%), inter-sentential code switching (21.0%), and tag switching (14.03%), intra-sentential code mixing (87.7%), intra-lexical code mixing (3.5%), and involving change a pronounciation (8.7%), that means the dominant type from the precentage is intra-sentential switching (64.9%) and intra-sentential mixing (87.7%). In fashion context in this program is to give information about style fashion in this era globalization.en_US
