    The Effect of Using Fly Swatter Game into Students’ Vocabulary Mastery at Eight Grade of Junior high School.

    Abstract
    This study focussed on finding out the effect of applying the Fly Swatter Game on students’vocabulary mastery at eight grade of junior high school.The objectives of the study is to know whether the Fly Swatter Game significantly affect students’ vocabulary mastery. Contribution of this study is as a reference for the teachers to choose the good strategy in teaching especially in teaching vocabulary. There are some problems of students in vocabulary, most learners do not like learning English, students are lazy to memorize all the unfamiliar words that they are heard or read and also teacher teach vocabulary with traditional strategy so the students feel bored during the study. This study was conducted by applying experimental quantitative research. The writer took 10 students as experimental groupo and 10 students as the control group. The experimental group was taught by applying Fly Swatter Game and the control group was taught by applying conventional technique. The data were taken by giving multiple choices consisted of 50 items multiple choice about verb. The test divided into two test pre-test and post-test for experimental and control groups. The mean score of the pre-test in the experimental group is 51,4 and the post-test is 83,2. The mean score of the pre-test in control group is 49,6 and the post-test is 66,4. It is conducted that the mean score of the experimental group is higher than the control group. The result that t-calculated t-table as the level of significance p= 0,05 (2,78 1.734). It means that the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and Null Hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. So, there is a significant effect of using Fly Swatter Game on students’ vocabulary mastery.
