    Abstract
    This thesis is a study about discourse marker of collocation in English Textbook of Grade X in the Senior High School. The objectives of the study are to find out the types of collocation in English textbook of Grade X in the Senior High School and to find out the most dominant types of collocation is used in English textbook of Grade X in the Senior High School. This study used descriptive qualitative design. The data of this study were the collocations used in 3 genre texts, descriptive, recount, and narrative text of an English textbook for tenth grade students in senior high school. Finally, the result of the study shows there are six types of collocation used in the 3 genre text in the textbook. They were Adjective an Noun ( 44 ) , Verbs and Nouns ( 16 ) , Noun + Noun ( 26 ) , Verbs and expression of Preposition ( 6 ) , Verbs and Adverbs ( 1) , Adverbs and Adjectives ( 3 ) . The most dominant type of collocation was Adjectives and Nouns.
