dc.description.abstractThis study focused on finding out the effect of applying Snakes and Ladders Game in teaching reading. This study was conducted by applying experimental quantitative research.The obejective of the study is to find out whether or not Snakes and Ladders Game affect on students achievement was the eleventh-grade students. The writer took 15 students as experimental group with used Snakes and Ladders Game and 15 students as control group used conventional method. The population of this study was 30 students which consist of eleventh eleventh classes. The writer took two classes as random sampling to see the effect Snakes and Ladders game in teaching reading. The data were taken by giving reading test into two tets: pre-test and pro-test for both experimental and control group. The mean score of pre-test in experimental group 59,3 and the post-test is 84 the mean score of pre-test in control group is 57,6 an the post-test is 74. It is conducted that the mean score of experimental group is higher than control group. The result t - calculated > t-table as the level of significance p=0,05 (8,4 >2,048). the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It is suggested that teachers of English subject to apply Snakes and Ladders Game as an alternative teaching media to help and enrich Reading Comprehension at eleventh-grade students.en_US
