    An Analysis of Slang Words in Fast and Furious 7 Movie

    Abstract
    Slang is one of the varieties of language in sociolinguistics used by society to interact with each other based on context. This study purposed to identify the types of Slang Words found in Fast and Furious 7 Movie. In this study, the researcher analyzed types of Slang words and meanings of slang words used by the main characters in Fast and Furious 7 movie, based on the theory of Eric Partridge (2007), namely: Public house slang and society slang. This study used descriptive qualitative research to analyze the data. The source of data was Fast and Furious 7 movie, the instrument of collecting data were script and observed and technique collecting data by the followed steps: downloaded the movie from lk 21, watched the movie, read scripts and marks the slang words which contained the types of slang words found in Fast and Furious 7 movie. The researcher found 19 data that involved in Public house slang (10.52%) and Society slang (89.48). From the result, the researcher concluded that Society slang is the most dominant type that used in Fast and Furious 7 movie.
