dc.description.abstractGeopark is an earth park that has elements of geodiversity, biodiversity, and cultural diversity. This study aims to identify people’s understanding of Toba Caldera and endemic plants in North Sumatera. This activity consist of several stages of activities, namely interviews, and tesis to identify people’s understanding of Toba Caldera Geopark and endemic plants and interview assessment. Interviews were held in April in Samosir, Toba Samosir, Siantar, HumbangHasundutan and North Tapanuli with respondents from school students, students, the general public and domestic tourist. The interview topic consists of the term Geopark, Toba Caldera as a National Geopark, the term UNESCO Global Geopark; benefits if the Toba Caldera is a member of the UNESCO Global Geopark Network. The result showed that the knowledge and understanding of the community was still lacking in the presence of Toba Caldera and endemic plant.en_US
