dc.description.abstractThis research aims to know the students’ problem in translation. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The technique for collecting data by using questioner and giving a text (new item text) to the students. The result of this research showed the students problem in translation were (1) grammatical structure included incomplete sentence, tenses and part of speech, (2) lexical, the students inability to choose suitable words in target language, (3) vocabulary, the students had less vocabulary so they were not able to finish or to complete their translation or they would rewrite the context in source language to the target language, (4) the students were not able to put the Noun Phrases (NP), the Verb Phrases (VP) in the right place.
