    Abstract
    This study deals with Illocutionary Acts On The English Teacher’s In Learning Process. The objective this study are to find out the types of illocutionary acts were used by English Teacher’s and the domaint types of illocutionary acts on learning process. This research was desriptive qualitative. The data of this research were the English learning process by the English teachers of SMK Negeri 5 Medan. The researcher obtained the data by means of note-taking technique, recording the English teaching and learning process in the class using video camera and/ or video recorder, Transcribing the data into the written form by the teacher, Listening the recording again to check the accuracy of the data, Selecting the data from the recording which are in accor with the objectives of the study, Recording the data into the data sheets, and Finally the data were classified according to Searle’s classification of illocutionary acts. The results of the result of the study related to the realization of speech act that was used by teachers SMK Negeri 5 Medan with the theory of speech acts. In this research, research uses the Searle’s theory about kinds of speech acts. Next, the research show that there are five types of illocutionary Speech act by the English teachers in classroom communication. They are Assertuves 29.87%, Commisive 7.79%, Directives 54.54%, Expressive 7.7.9%. The directives are the most frequent acts while the commissives and expressive are the fewest frequent acts.In conclusion, the dominant use of directive acts implies that the teachers dominate the conversation.
