Abstract

This research paper intends to findd out the translation procedures used in translating the twitter web pages as well as found out readers’ responses towards the quality of the translation. The objective of the study was to find out translation procedures were used in translating English into Indonesian version twitter web pages. The research was conducted at SMA YapsinSiloam.This study found out that there were twelve translation procedures. That were done through two phases: interview and translating. The instrument used in this research were interview and documentation. The data from interview and documentation by using qualitative data.The interview from five the students.this study found out that there were fourteen translation procedures: borrowing, calque, literaltranslation, transposition, modulation, equivalence, adaptation, compensation, concentration vs. dissolution, Amplification vs. Economy, Reinforcement vs. Condensation, Explication vs. implication, generalization vs. particularization. Finally, from the results of the research, it was expected to conduct more comprehensive analysis to all pages of the Twitter Website as well as to other longer sentences in other Websites.
