dc.description.abstractThis thesis is about The Effect of Using Audi Visual Media into Students’ Writing Recount Text. The objective of the study is to find out whether Audio Visual Media affects into students’ writing recount text. This study was conducted by applying experimental quantitative research. This subject of the study was grade ten students of SMK Swasta Jambi Medan. The population of this research was 248 students which consist of seven classes. The writer took accounting major which consist of two classes namely accounting 1 as experimental group and accounting 2 as control group. Accounting 1 as experimental group was taught by applying Audio Visual Media and Accounting 2 as control group was taught without applying Audio Visual Media. There were 16 students of each group. The total sample was 32 students. The instrument of collecting the data was writing test. The procedure of collecting data was pre-test, treatment, and post test to both of groups. The mean score of pre-test in experimental group was 38,31 and the post-test was 75,18. The mean score of pre-test in control group was 34,06 and the post-test was 60,43. The mean score of experimental group was higher than control group. The result of t-observed > t-table at level significance α 0,05 df (30), t-observed was 2,05 and t-table was 1,697 (2,05>1,697). The alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It means that Audio Visual Media can be used as teaching approach alternative to enrich students writing at grade ten.en_US
