dc.description.abstractThis thesis is a study about analysis on translators translated about Bilingual Biology Textbook of junior high school using translation method. The objective of this study is to find the translation method that used by translators in translating Bilingual biology Textbook and to identify the most dominant translation method that used by the translator in translating Bilingual biology Textbook. The subject of this study is chapter three about neurons text in bilingual biology textbook with both language, they are source language and target language.the data was a text that the translator translated into target language or Indonesia. The study uses descriptive qualitative method as a research design. Finally, the result of this study shows there are five translation method that used by the translator in translating the text, they are literal translation (16, 67%), free translation (45, 83%), faithful translation (29, 16%), semantic translation (4,17%) and communicative translation (4, 17%), since the other method are rarely to use in translating text especially textbook. And the most dominant translation method that used by the translator is free translation (45, 83%). The writer suggest that the reader keep their attention in learning translation method and improve their vocabulary.en_US
