dc.description.abstractThis research has purpose to observe how big the understanding of the concept of the material about before and after obtaining mechanics lectures for students of Physics Study Program 2015/2016 generation. This research uses Certainly of Respon Index (CRI) method.The result of research and analysis is concluded that the understanding of the concept before obtaining Physics I lecture on material mechanics, the result of 24% understood the concept, 56% did not understand the concept, and 20% who have misconceptions.Understanding the concept of a student after obtaining Physics I lecture on the mechanics of materials, 71%, who understand the concept, 16% did not understand the concept, and 13% had misconceptions.. Thus the level of student misconceptions UHN Medan Prodi Physics in material mechanics is low. For students who have misconceptions need to do remedial immediately.en_US
