Hubungan Tingkat Keasaman, Amoniak dan Nitrit dengan Prevalensi Parasit pada Ikan Kerapu Lumpur (Epinephelus tauvina)
Abstract
The objectives of the research were to analyze the correlation of water quality parameters of pH, ammoniac and nitrite with parasites prevalence on mud grouper fish (Epinephelus tauvina) by using multiple linier regression, and to analyze the impact of local climate changes (rainy-dry) on water quality changes by t test at brackish pond of UD Sundoro, Belawan. Parasites origin from gill and skin was identified through microscope observation. The kinds of parasite that infected the grouper were Diplectanum sp (63.3 %), Haliotrema sp (45 %) and Trichodina sp (40 %). Regression analysis showed that water quality parameters of pH, ammoniac and nitrite had significant correlation (R : 0.93) with parasite prevalence on mud grouper fish, while t test showed that local climate changes (rainy-dry) had not siginificant effect on water quality changes at brackish pond of UD Sundoro, Belawan.
