In evaluation of plant performance, the plant breeder must be able to partition the phenotypic variance into genotypic and environmental variance. The question is if seed source can effect the plant performances. This research was conducted in February-May 2011 in Porlak Simalingkar, the research station of University of HKBP Nommensen, Medan. Plant materials were seeds of varieties of soybean Anjasmoro, Grobogan and Kipas Merah Bireuen produced in three environment ie organic, conventional and no-treatment ini Oktober 2010 - January 2011. Experimental design was split plot design with 3 replication. This research reveals the significant to highly significant interaction between seed source, genotype and growth environment.en_US
