dc.description.abstractOrganizational commitment is the linkage between the member of an organization to the organization itself. The purpose of this research is to understand the relationship between organizational commitment and the employee performancein service organizations of Medan. The number of sample on this study is 56persons of certain service companies in Medan which is based on covenience sample method The collection of data is based on questionnaires which conducted in six week in irregular time, and analysis is carried out by using multiple regression. Based on this study, it can be concluded that there is significant positive relationship between Organizational Commitment with Employee performance. This is indicated by the coefficient Fng - 2 095 where p <0.050. The contribution of organizational commitment variable is 83.7% to employee performance. Based on the research, it is advisable to manajer to improve organization productivity by increasing organizational commiment of its employees. For the company, the results is as input in decision making related to policies in selecting, training and maintaining high performa employes,and organizationa/development.en_US
