| dc.description.abstract | This study deals with an analysis of difficulties translating poetry by SMK N 5 Medan, the data were collected by test writing and interview. The purpose of this study are to find out the kind of difficulties by Students at the third grade of SMK N 5 Medan. This research is based on descriptive qualitative method. The subject of research are students of XII TL which consist 20 students. It is found that the students difficulties face in translation stylistic problems, generally, the students difficulties were choosing the right or appropriate meaning. The students unability to understand the real context of the English Poetry text. The students difficulties caused by lacking of vocabularies in translating poetry from English to Indonesian. The students are poor in the translation especially in translating poetry from English to Indonesian. | en_US |
