dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to know the students’ability of using conjuntion in writing narrative text at the second grade at SMA N 1 Laeparira. The study used descriptive quantitative method as research design. The subject of the study was the second grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Laeparira consisting of 100 students and as the object of study is 25 students of XI IS I. Finally, the result of the study shows there are two types of conjunction in writing narrative text, namely; coordinating conjunction and subordinating conjunction. There are 25 students unable (100%) in using conjunction. According to the result that the ability of the students of using conjunction in writing narrative text unable category with the mean score 11,2%. Based on explanation above the research concluded that students at Sma N egeri 1 Laeparira unable in using conjunction in writing narrative text. It can be seen from the median of the median of the students’s score which is lower than KKM .Therefor the Positive Hypotesis (Ha) is not accepted This thesis is suggested for the students in English Department and also English teachers as source of valuable knowledge and information of students’ ability of using conjunction in writing narrative text.en_US
