Good and appropriate presuppositions can help to find the right variety of words before saying something in interaction and communication. Therefore, research on presuppositions and translation strategies is important in the communication and meaning-making of an interaction. By referring to Yule's theory (1996), this study aims to identify the types of pragmatic presuppositions found in the main characters in the Big Hero 6 animated film and by referring to Mona Baker's theory (2018), this study describes the translator's strategy in translating the pragmatic presuppositions of the main characters in the Big Hero 6 animated film. The data of this study is taken from the main character's dialog in the Big Hero 6 animated movie. In collecting the data, the researcher uses the observation method. The finding of this research shows that 27 data fulfill all six types of presupposition, namely existential presupposition (2), lexical presupposition (4), factive presupposition (2), structural presupposition (17), counterfactual presupposition (1), and non-factive presupposition (1). In addition, the research also analyzed the translation strategies of the presupposition types using Mona Baker's theory (2018). The results showed that 43 data used Mona Baker's theory. Translation by A More General Word (24), Translation Using A Loan Word (1), Translation by Paraphrase Using A Related Word (2), Translation By Paraphrase Using Unrelated Word (10), Translation by Omission (6). In this study, researchers did not find data using Translation by A More Neutral Word, Translation By Cultural Substitution, or Translation by Illustration. The conclusion that can be drawn from the findings of this study is that in one sentence presuppositions can use different translation strategies in translating the source language into the target language.en_US
