This study aims at finding out the types of figurative language that can be found in the 20 songs by BoywithUke, as well as to decipher their meaning. Data sources were taken from twenty songs popularized by American singer and musician BoywithUke with the record label Republic. The twenty songs are toxic, two moons, long drives, lovesick, haha, hi, out of tune, IDGAF, understand, wafers, shy, bad luck, lovely, hazel eyes, heart of ice, far away, scared of the dark , she said no, i won't let you go, contigo, blurry nights. The theory used in this study was adopted from the figurative language theory put forward by Keraf (2009). The method used in this research is qualitative. Beginning with listening the song, then reading the song lyrics and analyzing song lyrics that contain figurative language and recording related data. According to the findings of this study, there are twelve forms of metaphorical language discovered in twenty BoywithUke song lyrics namely simile 14%, metaphor 2%, allegory 12%, personification 3%, satire 1% , epithet 1%, synecdoche 22%, metonym 5%, antonomasia 14%, hypalase 17%, irony 5%, allusion 3%, of the total types of figurative language according to Keraf's theory (2009). I suggest when want to learn figurative language we can deepen our knowledge of figurative language before starting research, this will make it easier for us to be more thorough in analyzing the data. and also train yourself more in using Mendeley, looking for references and not being embarrassed to ask questions.en_US
