    Abstract
    This research aimed to find out the improve of students’ speaking skill by using role play strategy in virtual class. This study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is conducted to solve the students’ problem in English Speaking. The research design of this study was qualitative and quantitative. The second grade students in SMP Negeri 2 Sumbul were chosen as the population and sample of this study with total number of 20 students. The finding of this study indicated that the implementation of role play in virtual class was successful since the criteria of success were achieved. The finding showed that there was an improved significantly on the students’ speaking skill after treatment. There was enchantment of the student’s number score. The mean score of the pre-test was 58,8 , the post-test cycle I was 70,2 and the post-test cycle II was 78,6. Based on the finding mentioned before, the writer suggests that the English teacher could implement Role play strategy in teaching speaking in order to motivate students in learning English Speaking for second grade of SMP Negeri 2 Sumbul.
