    Abstract
    This thesis is about An Analysis of Illocutionary Acts used in the Utterances on “Frozen” Movie Script. The objective of the study was to classify the types of illocutionary acts and the dominant type of illocutionary acts are used in “Frozen” movie. This study was conducted by applying Descriptive Qualitative research. The writer transcript Elsa’s as the main character utterances to get the data. The instrument of collecting data was Observation. The data were obtained on Elsa’s utterances. The writer found there were 74 Elsa’s utterances on types of illocutionary acts. The finding of data analysis showed that types of illocutionary acts used in “Frozen” movie were representatives, expressives, directives, commissives and declaratives. The result showed the total number of each illocutionary acts are representatives is 21,63%, expressives is 24,32%, directives is 45,95%, commissives is 4,09% and declaratives is 4,05%. The dominant type was directives 45,95%. The benefits of this research for state and nation especially for students and English teachers are this research can be used as a source for teaching pragmatic material, student’s sources in learning more about illocutionary acts and for the next researcher especially in pragmatics illocutionary acts especially from movie.
