    Abstract
This research aims to find out the most frequently used types of code mixing and code switching from all types used and some reasons of the speaker for mixing and switching the codes in the videos. For the types of code mixing, the researcher used the theory proposed by Muysken who divided them into Insertion, Alternation and Congruent Lexicalization. For the types of code switching, the researcher used the theory proposed by Poplack who divided them into Intra-sentential, Inter-sentential and Tag switching. Besides, the researcher also used the theory proposed by Hoffman and Saville-Troike for the ten reasons of mixing and switching codes. This study was conducted by using Descriptive Qualitative research. The data were all words, phrases and clauses or sentences. They were collected by observing Sacha’s utterances in the YouTube videos and analyzed them by using the steps proposed by Miles and Huberman. The result showed that Sacha used all the types of code mixing, namely Insertion (18,3%), Alternation (8,5%), Congruent Lexicalization (2,8%), and all types of code switching namely Intra-sentential (45,1%), Inter-sentential (22,5%) and Tag switching (2,8%). It showed that Insertion and Intra- sentential are the most frequently used types of all. In addition, Sacha had four reasons out of ten of why she mixed and switched her codes, namely talking about particular topic, interjection, intention of clarifying the speech content and because of the real lexical need. Hopefully, this research can be useful for all parties.
