AN ANALYSIS OF DIRECTIVE SPEECH ACTS IN 3 NAFAS LIKAS MOVIE

Abstract

This research studies about directive speech acts in 3 Nafas Likas movie. The objectives of this research are to know the kinds of directive speech acts. The writer takes the data from the movie entitled 3 Nafas Likas. This research is a qualitative research by employing descriptive qualitative. The result tends to focus on the deep meaning of the dialogue’s. The data of this study are taken from directive uspeech acts in dialogues in the movie The command type serves dominant frequency of all four types of directive speech acts. There are 154 data (70%) containing command type. The second Request type. There are 40 data, it was 18,18%. The third position was order type. There are 25 data (11.36%). The frequency of type of directive speech acts are the suggestion type with 1 data (0,45%). The instrument of this research is the reseacher herself who collects, analyzes, and presents the data findings of the researchthen draw the conclusion.
