    Abstract
    The objective of this study is to find out the effect of the effect of Directed Reading Thinking Activity Strategy on Students’ Reading Comprehension Achievement in Report Text. This research was conducted by using quantitative design. The subject of this research was of X SMA SWASTA KESATUAN MERANTI, which consisted of 28 students. The research was conducted in two group namely experimental group and control group. This research was done three meetings. Based on the reading test of report text, students’ score improves better in experimental group than in control group. The mean score of the post-test in experimental group is 75,2 and the mean score of the post test in control group is 65,5. The score of t-observed > t-table (2,625 > 1,071) It means that the students are able in Report Text. Based on the result of all calculating of the score, it its shown that the students are able to Report Text after using Directed Reading Thinking Activity Strategy.
