The objective of this study is to find out whether or not the Group Investigation Technique Effect on Students Achievement in Writing Analytical Exposition Text at Second Grade Students (XI). This study was conducted by applying experimental quantitative research. This subject of the study was second grade students. The sample of this research was 16 students. The writer took MIA major as experimental group and IIS major as control group. MIPA as experimental group was taught by applying Group Investigation Technique and IIS as control group was taught without applying Group Investigation Technique. There were 8 students of each group. The instrument of collecting the data was writing test. The procedure of collecting data was pre-test, treatment and post-test to both of groups. The mean score of pre-test in experimental group was 48,5 and the post-test was 82,25. The mean score of pre-test in control group was 45,38 and the post-test was 63,75. The mean score of experimental group was higher than control group. The result of t-observed > t-table at level significance α 0,05 df (14), t-observed was 6,07 and t-table was 1,697 (6,07>1,697). The alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It means that Group Investigation Technique can be used as teaching approach alternative to enrich students writing at second grade.
