    “The Lexical Interference of English into Bahasa Indonesia Students’ on Speaking Dialogue”

    Abstract
    This thesis deals with the aim to achieve the purposes, such as to find out the types of lexical interference and to know the most dominant types of lexical interference made by the students. The method used of this study is descriptive qualitative. The objects study of the research are students of English Department at the fourth semester group A consists of 30 students who has Bahasa Indonesia as the first language. Techniques to get the data, the writer used observation and recording. The writer found 784 data that involved Neologism (38,13%), Calque (42,60%), and Borrowing (19,27%). From the result, the writer concludes that Calque is the most dominant types of lexical interference made by the students of English Department. This research is expected became the new perspective for everyone especially for the English learners to know that interference is one of the big influence in studying English, because it could be eliminate the purity of their first language if the English learners still do not mastering their second language well.
