    An Error Analysis on Students Writing Conditional

    Abstract
    This study deals with finding an error analysis on students writing conditional sentences by the second year students of Junior High School. The objective of this study is to find out the type of students in writing conditional sentences and to find out the type of students‟ writing in conditional sentences. This study was conducted into descriptive qualitative research. There are 36 students the used to be the object who came from the class of VIII in academic year 2019-2020. The instrument of collecting the data was completing test. The data were collected by asking the students to complete writing conditional sentences, then collecting students‟ work sheet to find out the errors. The data were analyzed by identifying the students‟ writing conditional errors by underlining every error from the students‟ completing test, after classifying the types of error based on the types of conditional sentences and surface strategy taxonomy categories. The research error of addition, error of omission, error of misformation, error of misordering.
