THE EFFECT OF MACROMEDIA FLASH IN TEACHING WRITING PROCEDURE TEXT at SMA N 8 MEDAN GRADE TENTH
Abstract
The objective of this study was to find out whether the effect Macromedia Flash 8 on students; achievement in writing procedure text. This study was conducted by using experimental research. The population of this research was the tent grade students of SMAN 8 Medan. There are two classes as the sample by using random sampling technique. The class X IPA-1 was as the experimental group and X IPA-2 was as the control group. The experimental group was taught by using Macromedia Flash 8, otherwise control group was taught by conventional technique. The instrument for collecting the data was a written test. The data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The result shown that Macromedia Flash has a significant effect on students achievement in writing procedure test. The result shows that the t-observed is higher than t-table (3.6779 > 1.7155 (α-0,05) with the degree of freedom (n) = 58. Therefore, Macromedia Flash singnificant affect on the students’ ability in writing procedure text.
