The Effect of Mobile Phone Learning Through Finding Information Sources of Reading Test For Class Interaction
Abstract
The Objective of this study was to find out whether the effect of Mobile Phone Learning Through Finding Information Sources of Reading Test. This study was conducted by using experimental research. The population of this research was the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 8 Medan. There are two classes as the sample by using random sampling technique. The class X MIA-1 was the experimental group and X MIA-2 was the control group. The experimental group was taught by using Mobile Phone Learning, otherwise control group was taught by no Mobile Phone Learning were by conventional technique. The instrument for collecting data was reading test. The data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The result shown that Mobile Phone Learning has a significant effect on students achievement in reading test. The result shows that t-observed is higher than t-table ( 21.14 > 1.7155 ( α-0.05 ) with the degree of freedom ( n ) =30. Therefore, mobile phone learning significantly affects on the students’ ability in reading test especially for reading comprehension.
