Gender Differences In Writing Recount Text Of The Eleventh Grade of SMA RK Deli Murni Delitua
Abstract
The Objective of this research is to investigate the significant differences of gender of the eleventh grade students of Senior High School in writing recount text. This research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative. The source of data was taken from eleventh grade of SMA DELIMURNI Delitua. There are two class of eleventh grade which consist of 74 students. The sample was chosen XI-IIS as take as the sample of research. To get the result students work, the writer asked the students to writing recount text. After that the writer collected and checked it. The result of this study showed that the female students are better than male students in writing recount text. From 30 samples, which consist of 15 male students and 15 female students that the female students were better than male students in verbal ability, school achievement, conformity and dependence, emotional adjustment,values and life goals, and achievement orientation, because females were more likely to express their achievment motivation,that is, their desire to succeed, in the areas that our society has traditionally designated as appropriate for females, namely, in social skills and relations, but the male students were better than female students in problem solving and aggression. It could be seen from the data which had been analyzed.
