Abstract

English is an international language in the world, because it is used as means of communication among countries in the world of polities, information, technology, business, and education. Recently, English is an essential language for people around the world. Because of the importance of English, almost countries learn English especially in Indonesia. In Indonesia, English is a foreign language. The government puts it as a compulsory subject at school. English is taught from kindergarten school up to university level. In English, there are four language skills that should be mastered, they are: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In career development, English competence is very important, because of that, the students in indonesia must understand english to increase their knowledge.
