| dc.description | Artikel ini membahas migrasi semasa hidup dari Sumatera Utara dalam periode 1980 dan 1985. Dalam periode ini jumlah migran semasa hidup di Provinsi Sumatera Utara cenderung menurun karena jumlah yang keluar (pindah) dari provinsi ini ke provinsi lain dalam konteks nasional cenderung menaik dalam periode yang sama. Tampaknya migrasi semasa hidup dari Sumatera Utara menuju provinsi lain yang peningkatan pembangunan ekonominya lebih cepat. Atau dengan kata lain, ada hubungan antara peningkatan pembangunan dengan jumlah migran yang masuk maupun yang keluar dari Provinsi Sumatera Utara. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | It is argued that migrants are more likely to move to the area which have higher economic development, this paper attemps to analyze the relationship between lifetime migration of North Sumatra and the level of economic growth of the province in Indonesia, especially in 1980 and 1985.
The findings show that the hyphotesis is supported. It was found that the number of lifetime in-migrants in North Sumatra decreased when the level of economic growth in this area was lower than in several other provinces. At the same time, the migrants moved to the provinces which had higher economic development. | en_US |
