dc.description.abstractThe research entitled “The Analysis Of Language Style As Found In Film “Mimpi Sejuta Dolar” By Merry Riana is intented to identify kinds of language style and tries to find the most dominant language style usage employed on the film “Mimpi Sejuta Dolar”. There are many people watch the movies, people watch the movies in anytime. They watch the movies because the actors or the action in the movie. In other side people does not care about the way of conversation on movie, people do not understand how the actors setting conversation on movie. Movie is a series of still image which, when shown on a screen. The purpose of this research is to find out types of Language styles used in Mimpi Sejuta Dolar movie dialogue. The writer use the descriptive qualitative method to analyze the data with fourteen languanges styles from Keraf style. The result of this research is the dominant type of language style that appiers is Antithesis Style. Because this movie contains the values of the struggle for life (spirit, education, family, and love), this movie can inspire the college students to struggle for the education in the university, and there are three languages used in this movie (Indonesian, Malay, and English) so it is very interesting to conduct the research. The researcher states that because of the definition of antithesis language style that contains contradictory ideas was likely in the Merry Riana: Mimpi Sejuta Dollar movie that contains lot of contradictories in Merry Riana’s dreams with the real life that she was doing.en_US
