    Abstract
This study aims to analyze the translation methods contained in the movie subtitle Fast and Furious 7. The purpose of this study is to answer the formulation of the problem, namely (1) To find out the types of translation methods in movie Fast and Furious 7 (2) To know the dominant type of translation method in movie Fast and Furious 7. The analysis of the translation methods is based on Peter Newmark’s (1988) classification of translation methods. The findings of the study show that there are six of eight translation methods proposed by Newmark used. They are 13(28%) literal translation method, 2(4%) adaptation translation method, 2(4%) semantic translation method, 7(15%) free translation method, 14(30%) idiomatic translation method, and 9(19%) communicative translation method. 2. The most dominant type of translation method on Fast and Furious 7 movie is idiomatic translation, because of this translation, which has the same meaning as the source language but is communicated in a natural manner in the recipient's language, the idiomatic translation has become increasingly prevalent."
