dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to explain the types of error analysis found in the bible text, as well as t o find the most dominant type used in translating this bible text. As it known, both language and translation are related to each other, translation is used to facilitate communication in delivering goals. This type of research is qualitative with the source of data from the bible text which is focused on the book of John 14:1-14. The source of the translation used as data is the King James Version. The author uses Mona Baker's theory to classify the types of translation strategies in the bible text. There are 8 kinds used in analyzing on this study. The results obtained in accordance with the theory used are; Translation by Using General Word as dominant (9), Translation by Paraphrase Using Related Word(4), Translation by more less expressive word (1), Translation by cultural substitution(1), and Translation by omission (1). The result from analysis above is pure take from bible King James versions, and from the findings above, the author can say that the versions of each book use different strategies with the aim of making it easier to identify the version of the book itself.en_US
