| dc.description.abstract | "Mulak Tu Huta" is the abbreviation for "Mulak Tu Huta." Mulak Tu Huta is a Toba Batak phrase that translates to "Return to the Village." The author will then analyze the results of the students' writing, in which they are invited to write explanation texts because explanation texts are texts that state phenomena that have occurred.The researchers aimed to describe the types of errors made by the student in writing explanation text and to know factors that caused students in writing explanation text. This research is qualitative research. The data ware taken from students writing test on explanation text and conducted an interview to support the data. writing test is used to measure each student's level of learning in writing, and an interview is utilized to learn about the circumstances that led to the students' errors. The participants were 15 students of Mulak Tu Huta education Centre. Data analysis namely discovered which form of error was more prevalent than the data that had been gathered, based on the students' experiences, As a result of the writing test made by the students, the writer found 83 errors in the data shows that there are 32 errors of ommission category which all of students made this error, 22 errors of addition category which made by 14 students, 13 errors of misformation category which made by 9 students 6 errors of missordering category made 4 students 6 errors of archi forms category made 4 students
3 errors of archi forms category made 3 students and the writer conducts interviews with students to learn about the elements that contribute to students' faults in producing explanation texts. Some factors that cause student writing errors include: vocabulary errors,grammatical structure, They also struggle to translate English due to a lack of vocabulary in English.They are also lazy when it comes to looking up terminology since they do not have dictionaries or apps on their cellphones because their parents don't supply essentials because their parents are struggling financially | en_US |
