dc.description.abstractThis research deals with the comparison of students' speaking performances according to their temperaments. This research aims to find out the difference in speaking performance between phlegmatic and choleric students. This research applied a qualitative descriptive method. The source of data was obtained from students speaking result. The data of this research were collected based on the score of each speaking element of choleric and phlegmatic students, which consists of 10 choleric students and 10 phlegmatic students. The findings showed that there are differences between the speaking results of choleric and phlegmatic students. The research showed that students with phlegmatic temperament are better than students with choleric temperament. The average score of speaking score of phlegmatic students are 81.2 while the average score of student’s choleric speaking are 77.6. And the visible difference is that phlegmatic students are better in several elements of speaking, namely pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and fluency. While in the comprehension element, both choleric and phlegmatic students have the same score.en_US
