dc.description.abstract | This study focussed on finding out the effect of applying the Video PS Game on students’reading comprehensive at eight grade of junior high school.The objectives of the study is to know whether the Video PS Game significantly affect students’ reading comprehensive. There are some problems of students in reading comprehnsive students had low comprehension for text, their incapability in understanding the text because they could not find the meaning of the words, they also had difficulties in finding the main ideas and the topics, students could not related the information from one paragraph to another.This study was conducted by applying experimental quantitative research. The writer took 15 students as experimental groupo and 15 students as the control group. The experimental group was taught by applying Video PS Game and the control group was taught by applying conventional technique. The data were taken by giving multiple choices consisted of 25 items multiple choice about reading. The test divided into two test pre-test and post-test for experimental and control groups. The mean score of the pre-test in the experimental group is
54,6 and the post-test is 87,4. The mean score of the pre-test in control group is 43,4 and the post-test is 64,8. It is conducted that the mean score of the experimental group is higher tha n the control group. The result that t-calculated t-table as the level of significance p= 0,05 (3,1 1.701). It means that the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and Null Hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. So, there is a significant effect of using Video PS Game on students’ reading comprehensive. | en_US |
