Students’ and Teachers’ perception toward online learning system in pandemic situation at SMPS Hang Tuah I Belawan

Abstract

This research aims to know the students’ and teacher’s perception toward online learning system in the Covid-19 Pandemic situation. In this research, the technique of collecting data researcher used questionnaire and interview method that consist fifteen statements about perception of online learning system. The source of data in this research was taken by five teachers and forty five students at SMPS Hang Tuah I Belawan. This study was applied descriptive qualitative design. The technique of analyzing data researcher used four steps,namely by researcher herself. The findings from the data analysis, teacher give positive perception to online learning system, the process of teaching learning system is easier with online learning but online learning system can not makes the teaching learning process more effective in achieving the learning objectives. Students also give positive perception to online learning system, the process of teaching learning process is easier with online learning and teaching online learning sytem can foster students’ independent learning attitudes but they found problems in implementing teaching online learning system, so that online learning system can not to be developed.
