dc.description.abstractThe aim of this research was to find out the English Teacher Performance in Teaching Learning during Pandemic Covid-19. The research was conducted at Duta Harapan School Medan. There were three teachers as the sample of this research. The data were collected from informant who tough English in the online class. The instruments to collect the data were observation, interview, video recording, and audio recording. The data were the utterances of teachers while they are in online teaching. The researcher used data display, data condensation and triangulation data to analyze data. The results of this research showed that the teacher’s performance and the capability in teaching English during the pandemic were quite good. Based on anthropolinguistic concept, the macro structure was to convey the knowledge through explaining, advising, reminding, and persuading. The superstructure, the performance was devided into opening, core and closing. The micro structure used was imperative sentence. There were found paralinguistic, kinesic and material element in the teacher performance. Situation context, social context, education context and ideology context were found on the teacher performance. The teacher had to master the teacher performance to face the students from different culture, background, and class. The teacher need to master technology to handle the effective teaching.en_US
